Model Turtle Soup: The Classic Liquidity Sweep Setup
The Turtle Soup model is a classic counter-trend reversal pattern focused on catching stop hunt sweeps at key swing highs/lows.
5 Setup Conditions
1. Target Liquidity Pool
A distinct swing point, PDH/PDL, or session high/low where stops are resting.
2. Stop Hunt Sweep
A wick breaching the target level to grab the resting breakout orders and stops.
3. Rejection Wick (Turtle Soup Candle)
A long wick rejection that closes back inside the trading range, confirming displacement back.
4. LTF Structure Confirmation (CISD / MSS)
Entering on low timeframe (e.g. M1/M5) MSS or CISD post-rejection to minimize risk.
5. Target Liquidity
Aiming for opposite EQL/EQH or unfilled FVG levels.
